8th concept - I wanted to interpret the idea of humans needing coffee/caffeine for energy, the same as butterflies need nectar for energy.
7th concept - "Delicate heart"
6th concept - metamorphosis of the growth of the human heart.
5th concept - "Freeing the mind". I had already drawn the sketch from a while back and decided to use it, so i altered it when i put it on Photoshop so it looked more effective.
4th concept - "Heart producing life"
3rd concept - "Heart/wings beating rhythm"
These were my first 2 concept designs. "Ribcage heart" and "Fluttering heart".
As a start for my concept designing, i went to the Bristol museum and zoo. This really helped with my research, as i wanted to include hand rendered art alongside photographed images. By getting these images it meant i could easily create some unique pieces.
Some research on pictures of heart and butterfly "anatomy". These will provide massive inspiration for a few of my own designs.

Beginning to have a think about the way my 2 concepts can work together - I made a mindmap and also made a start on a plan - 16 drawings, 16 typography and 16 photograph pages. (separate front and back covers to make 50 pages in total) I began writing down my ideas for each drawing.
